Food
Intolerance testing |
 |
Our
testing method
does not test
your blood for
the IgE (classic
allergy) antibodies
that are associated
with severe, sometimes
life threatening
reactions to foods.
A typical example
of this would
be nut allergy.
You may have a
positive IgE reaction
to nuts but a
negative IgG reaction
to nuts using
our food intolerance
test. This means
that you will
still have to
avoid eating nuts.
Classic allergy
is commonly associated
with a rapid onset
of symptoms very
soon after eating
the offending
food. Detecting
such reactions
is not difficult
and does not always
require a blood
test. The more
subtle IgG reactions
may be related
to a delayed onset,
with more long
term or chronic
symptoms. It is
in this type of
situation our
test is indicated.
What symptoms
can be related
to food intolerance?
Food intolerance
can manifest itself
by producing a
variety of symptoms
and can affect
almost any organ.
Often patients
report multiple
symptoms such
as chronic migraines,
irritable bowel
syndrome, weight
problems, depression,
insomnia, constipation,
asthma, anxiety,
headaches, hyperactivity
syndrome, diarrhoea,
chronic fatigue
syndrome, arthritis,
skin problems,
pre-menstrual
syndrome, aches
and pains.
Symptoms frequently
persist for decades
and patients often
report that multiple
visits to their
doctor have not
resolved their
problems.

How
to get tested
Getting tested
could not be easier.
If you are local
to the clinic
simply call our
reception (0208

no special preparation
for the test,
just turn up and
we will take a
finger prick sample
of blood and test
it while you wait.
If you are too
far to visit us
a blood sample
kit will be sent
to you. Follow
the instructions
carefully and
post it back to
us. Your blood
will travel safely
